Vega x 4 ha pasado dos noches en este hotel y hemos estado muy bien, como
en casa, como no fuera por los insectos que nos han hecho sufrir un poco.
Felicitamos a la cocinera por sus menus, ricos y variados y a toda la familia
en general por el trato que nos ha prestado. El entorno es precioso y nos

conocido la selva de Petén, es la primera vez que estamos en ella. Este
lugar nos ha parecido único e inolvidable, con una buenísima comida, habitaciones
fantásticas y una compañía del personal super agradable. Tanto las personas

Tammy and I would like to say THANK YOU, and share
some of the pictures that we took on our journey into the beautiful jungle
of the Maya s. I cannot tell you how wonderful or trip was and how incredible
the island, Punta De Chimino is. I believe it to be, the perfect gateway
to Aguateca. You can't image how much I dislike tourist areas. As I travel
around the earth, I visit one tourist area after another, and after awhile
they all begin to look the same. So I hope you can appreciate how much it
has meant to us, to spend time on the island. The remote, scene atmosphere
of Chimino's was great for the mind and spirit. It had a very soothing effect
on our souls. Even the howler monkeys, with their dominant screams added
an ambiance of pure inspiration to the experience. I smiled, hearing each
monkey boast about how they were the meanest ant the toughest beast in the
nation. I could not believe, that this macho event also takes place in the
middle of the night, and is very startling the first time you hear it. In
fact, the first time will bring you right out of bed, searching for a weapon
to demolish the invisible phantom causing all the commotion. Our bungalow
was situated about twenty feet from the waters edge. We looked over a most
beautiful lake full of fish and foul and occasionally witnessed a swimming
alligator and snake. It was incredible being a part of nature, and working
in harmony with her. Each morning, we watched the blazing sun arise. Showing
us bright colors of red, orange and yellow as it peaked over the horizon,
reflecting its unrivaled beauty in the perfectly still lake. This is a picture
in my memory I shall never forget and I can t think of a better way to start
each day. I would have been perfectly content to spend the morning with
a fishing rod, enjoying the new day and searching for that prize fish for
Lillian to cook. Even without my champion fish, the food was outstanding.
Lillian prepared each meal as if we were eating in a four star restaurant.
Tono, Lillian, Nelson and my partner Enrique did a wonderful job tending
to our needs. Our Spanish vocabulary was very limited and we were more than
impressed with the way they deciphered our amateur attempt at communicating.
We are very thankful, for the way they watched over and took care of us.
Aguateca is a great ruin, and we wish to return back there, as soon as we
can, so that we can continue our education. In my mind, Aguateca and Chiminos
is every bit as important as Tikal or Copan. It seems to me that by exposing
these sights, important links may be reveled that will answer many questions
about the fall of the Maya empire. I am so thankful that you gave us the
opportunity to be a part of this. For the rest of our lives we will monitor
the progress being made at Aguateca and Chiminos and we will return. I do
not have the words to express how much gratitude we feel to you for this

You have a magnificent place here, giving your guests a true taste of
the jungle. This is coupled with a fine sense of hospitality, expressed
in the very fine meals you are serving. Delicious. The bungalows are lovely,
but having use of the ceiling fans earlier in the afternoon, to help your

in the jungle! It was a great experience to be here, and to join the life
in the rainforest at night. We would never thought that there were so
many sounds at night. Birds, insects and of course the howling of the
monkeys! We woke up from sounds near the cabin, we didn't see anything,
but think it was a monkey! And the size of some insects made us (me) shiver
